概要 Over a decade after the first edition of the International Encyclopedia of Civil Society, the concept of civil society remains dynamic and debated. Political, economic, and social changes have introduced new actors and approaches, necessitating updates to regional entries and legal frameworks. Recent research has also advanced understanding of both broad theories and specific organizational issues.I was responsible for writing the entry for this encyclopedia on the research of Professor Naoto Yamauchi, who passed away in 2023.
