概要 | In the agricultural products market, various niches have been being created out from the mass market. First, this paper shows that the niche market is created through the direct interaction between producer and consumer. Second, the niche marketing on the fruit farming in Wakayama prefecture is observed. Third, this paper shows that, in the niche market, extensive varieties of the product are supplied under the monopolistic competition. Fourth, this paper points out key strategies on the niche marketing, those are product development innovation, small lot production of many products, vertical integration of farming with processing and retailing, acquiring repeat purchasers, branding, and advertising. |
